DESCRIPTION: Austria, Large standing regulator tall clock, 8 days, time and grand sonnerie strike on two massive bells. Triple brass weight driven movement with dead beat escapement in a grain painted pine case with pediment top and center finial, fluted columns with Corinthian capitals flanking trunk door and two paneled glazed sides and front with a raised panel base. The white enamel dial has second's bit and fancy cut steel hands, c1890
CONDITION: the grain painted surface is original and looks superb. The massive 10" & 8" bells, surmounted behind the pediment are approximately 3/8" thick and give a deep resonant loud sound. The white enamel dial is also excellent. This impressive clock is in fantastic condition. The consignor states it stood in a Railroad Station forum which seems plausible. Original crank included.
